Welcome everyone! Over the last several months we have added some new, very talented stampers to our team and we thought it would be fun to give everyone (old and new alike) the opportunity to let you know a little bit about them themselves. We are going to start with our Thursday Challenge team!
Introduction – Jo Anne Hewins

I live in Conover, NC. That’s about an hour north of Charlotte. I’ve lived in this area my whole life. I love this area of the US. I met my husband when I was in college at Appalachian State. We’ve been married almost 46 years. We have 2 grown children, Jeff and Jessie. Jeff is single and lives close by. Jessie has been married for 10 years. She lives in Greensboro about 1 1/2 hours away. Our granddaughter Sagan will be 3 in April. We waited a long time for little Sagan. Her parents were aided by science and that’s why the name. She is named after Carl Sagan, a scientist. We have a second blessing due soon. Sagan will have a sister. Hazel Anne may or may not be here according to when you read this. She is due to be induced on March 14th unless she decides to come earlier. We are so excited! Sagan will be a great big sister.
My husband John and I were both teachers. He was in middle school and I was mainly first grade. We’re both retired now. I have my Stampin’ Up! business and John drives part time for a local tour company. He has taken my Luv 2 Create teams in a van to Stampin’ Up events in Atlanta and Charleston. I have to say he is the best!
One of the reasons I love first grade so much was that we got to do lots of art. It was at school that I was introduced to Stampin’ Up! I kept noticing that the teacher across the hall had a small gathering in her room once a month after hours. They were in there doing something and laughing and giggling. So one day I went in there and asked what they were doing. They let me try it and I was hooked. That was over 20 years ago. I’ve been a demonstrator for 10 years. I do have classes in my home and at a local cafe once a month. I stopped for a while due to Covid, but I’m planning on getting back to it.
North Carolina has a Demo Facebook group that is very active. We even have groups that host us for our own little conventions. We’ve had to pare down on that due to the pandemic so once a month on a Saturday, various demos volunteer to have a 30 minute Facebook Live for the group. These, along with the sharing of the group help with inspiration. I love doing the challenges for Create with Connie and Mary because they help me step out of my box. I love doing blog hops. Like the rest of you Pinterest is also a great source of inspiration. I’m lucky to have an upline that has a very active Facebook Group for her team. I have found that the more you exercise your creativity, the easier it becomes.
I am mostly an in person demo, but I am looking for customers online as well. Please visit my blog and subscribe to my newsletter. I sent it out every Tuesday. I always have pictures of Sagan at the end. Hazel will soon be joining her! If I can help you, please let me know. I absolutely love being a part of the Stampin’ Up! world!
My favorite sets change frequently as well. My favorite from the Jan-June mini is the In Bloom bundle. I just can’t stop using it.
