Welcome everyone! Over the last several months we have added some new, very talented stampers to our team and we thought it would be fun to give everyone (old and new alike) the opportunity to let you know a little bit about them themselves. We are going to start with our Thursday Challenge team!
Introduction – LIBBY FENS
My name is Libby Fens. I live in Texas! Been here all my life except for some travelling. I have been married for nearly 31 years and we have 2 daughters. One in Boston and one here in the Houston. We have a cat and my daughter’s cockatiel from when she went off to college.
I have always been a creative person. I shared my love of arts, crafts, coloring, and creativity with my girls when they were young. They are both extremely creative as well, even as adults. I got into stamping and card making some 20 years ago or so now.
I love to see a card and try to figure out how to re-create it or figure the fold out, without looking at the directions or watching a video. Card challenges have been a favorite for me as it gets me to thinking about how to use stamps, ink and paper in a unique way.
Monthly Card Buffets were ‘my thing’ prior to the pandemic. I had a hard time stopping at designing 3 or 4 cards for a class. There are always too many wonderful products to show and my thoughts just don’t stop, so Card Buffets became a way to show lots of stuff. I loved to see the excitement as someone created a card or technique that they thought they could not do otherwise. Recently with the pandemic, I have had to rethink classes and I have embraced the challenge. I still am able to create with others, just now through Zoom, and social media.
During trying times, I still need to sneak away to my craft room to work through things through my card making. My current favorite bundle is the In Bloom Bundle, something I thought I did not ‘need’. I absolutely LOVE using it these these days!
